The open concept upper level provides breathtaking oceanfront views from every angle. After dinner, sit back and relax in the cozy and comfortable living room while you watch television, enjoy a movie on Netflix or simply get lost watching the flames of your very own propane fireplace. An assortment of card and board games, and books are available for use. Stroll out onto the deck and look to the west to take in the sunset, with a beer or wine on the top deck. There is a full bathroom on this floor. On the lower level, there is another full bathroom, laundry and three bedrooms. From the two front bedrooms, you can take in the ocean views without having to get out of your queen-sized bed. Each of these rooms includes a walk-out to a covered slate patio. The third bedroom offers two twin beds for greater flexibility in sleeping arrangements. Every bed includes two types of pillows and a comfortable duvet to make sure you sleep well and are ready to enjoy another beautiful day in Port Renfrew. Wickham's Wake has three outdoor living areas for you to enjoy. On the upper level, enjoy a wall to wall deck with a panoramic view of the inlet, trees and ocean, all from the comfort of the adirondack chairs provided. On the lower level, a covered slate patio is perfect for your morning coffee or afternoon read. Finally, walk down the cedar tree steps to the cliff-side lower patio, which offers unequalled views and a fire pit for a night time marshmallow roast under the stars. The lower two patios are accessible from stairs outside the cottage or through the two bedrooms on the lower level. Interaction with Guests: We will be available by phone and email throughout your stay. The Neighborhood: Located in a the Wild Coast Cottage community. There are neighbours close by. Privacy may be limited in outdoor areas. Please note that each cottage in the neighbourhood is privately owned. If you visit at another cottage and bring dishes, chairs etc. please be sure to return them to their original cottage. Some cottages are rented like ours, but most are used only by their owners and families. Please be respectful of their privacy and property. Other Things to Note: Please note the cottage is listed as oceanfront view only; no access to the ocean from the cottage. **** the cottage is nestled in a rainforest, surrounded by the lush beauty of nature. While the hosts make efforts to clear away cobwebs, animal and bird droppings, as well as leaves and debris before guests arrive, they kindly ask guests to understand that the cottage is situated in the habitat of these creatures. Therefore, it's natural for them to rebuild their webs and nests. Appreciating this delicate balance between human habitation and the natural environment adds to the charm of the stay. ------- There is limited cell service in Port Renfrew, but the cottage has WI-FI. Guest can email, or enable WI-FI calling on their smart phone, or use other application to call such as What's app, or others. Current cell phone providers that work in the area are Rogers, Fido, Shaw and limited Telus. *** Please note during peak seasons (like busy holiday weekend, or summer) the internet may be spotty due to it sharing bandwidth with everyone from the town using the same company. —— We do our best to keep essentials like salt, pepper, and oil stocked. If you notice they're running low during your stay, feel free to let us know! Please note: we do not provide coffee, so be sure to bring your favourite brew.
