A great week to start our summer with the family! The location was easy to get to from Toronto. A mere 2hr drive away. Grocery stores were 6-12mins drive from the cabin. Thankfully, the kitchen was fully stocked with most of the tools, even seasonings/herbs you need for cooking and baking. So all you really need to bring are just food to cook/bake/bbq. There is no denying that the Mediterranean Escape cabin is beautiful. The kids loved their room and spent majority of their days in there when we were hit with heavy rain for a couple of days. The bedroom downstairs was convenient for my in laws who has troubles getting up and down the stairs. I hope that my boys and nephew remembers when they're older, the memories they made during our stay there. The river water was cool, clean and refreshing. Perfect for jumping and swimming in. Make sure you paddleboard to the tiny island with a tree, unless you have Ornithophobia. Otherwise, it was a great experience seeing those large nests with grey cranes. There were nights that were just magical. Making s'mores by the fire were even more enchanted by the fireflies twinkling around us, and lighting the way back to our cabin. When everyone were asleep, I would lay on the floor in the gym and watch the night sky through the big window. Saw a few shooting stars in the stillness of the night. Overall, our whole family would love to stay at the Mediterranean Escape again and add more summer memories in the books!

We were six longtime friends looking for a central location for a “girls” weekend. The house is really beautiful and having many beds, two full bathrooms, two big sitting areas served us well. We did all our own cooking together, so it was tight but functional. The sauna was a bonus and we appreciated it being set up for us each night. We didn’t swim but we also didn’t have a ladder or chairs on our dock like some of the others. We used the bbq and it was nice having a big table and umbrella. WiFi for us was really weak so be aware if you are planning to do work or stream. Campbellford is quaint with a nice bridge and trails. A wonderful stay!

The cottage was beautiful! Very nicely appointed, with a really well stocked kitchen. Comfy beds and beautiful views of the water - our group had an amazing stay.
