This is also the point where we will register drivers and guests at the resort and you have the option to heat your private pool/spa throughout your stay. Airport (MCO) – Resorts – Parks Many of our Guests inquire about the best means of transportation between the airport, the resorts where they have booked their vacation homes and the parks and attractions that Orlando offers. Rental Cars & Vans It is our first recommendation that guests rent vehicles at the airport to use throughout their vacation. Orlando is a large metropolitan area and public transit is not readily available like it is in New York City, Chicago, London, etc. Rental cars/vans is the most practical to move you and your guests from one location to the next. Because parking can get tight at the resorts and parks, we recommend that guests rent vans whenever practical. In addition to minivans and large SUV’s, a popular rental choice is the 12-15 passenger full sized van. In addition to the traditional car rental companies (Hertz, Avis, Budget, Alamo, Enterprise, Sixt, Fox, etc.) there are local companies that specialize in large passenger vans. Rideshare (Uber & Lyft) The second most popular transportation mode to get around the Orlando Area is via Rideshare Apps Uber and Lyft. All vacation home resorts and amusement parks are accustomed to accommodating visitors that utilize Rideshare and this is an option that works for many. Shuttle Services We are often asked if there is a shuttle service between vacation home resorts and amusement parks. The Disney Shuttle Busses that you see on the road are dedicated to shuttling visitors between Disney Resorts/Hotels and Disney Parks. The same is true of Universal Studios Shuttle Busses. With that being said, guests can arrange for “Shuttles for Hire”. Visitors may contact Shuttle Services in advance to arrange for pickup from the airport or to shuttle your group between your vacation home and your park destination. These services operate similar to taxi cabs. This is a phenomenal tool for guests to identify how to get to point A to Point B, comparing almost any form of transportation available in the area in addition to the estimated cost.
