Property Overview

About This Property

Tucked onto a private, wooded acre in Pine, this modern cabin (built in 2018) is made for families and groups who want room to roam. Soak in the hot tub beneath the towering Ponderosa pines, send the kids flying down the backyard zip line or off to their very own playhouse, and end the day around the fireplace in the soaring, window-filled great room. A mild climate, fresh mountain air, and, of course, plenty of towering pine trees… It’s easy to see why Pine-Strawberry's original settlers decided to call this spot home in the late 19th century. Enjoy your time in the quiet village of Pine in a stylish cabin that has everything you need for the perfect mountain getaway. The heart of the home is the vaulted great room, with walls of windows looking out into the forest, a fireplace with a large TV above it, a big sectional, and a foosball table. The open kitchen has stainless steel appliances, plenty of counter space, and a popcorn machine for movie night, with the dining table right alongside. A spiral staircase leads up to the large loft – a carpeted bonus space with a full-size futon, a TV, and room to spread out for games, sleepovers, or a quiet corner of your own. A closet full of board games is ready for family game night. The home has three bedrooms and two full bathrooms (about 1,400 square feet plus the loft). The first bedroom has a queen bed, the second features a full-over-full bunk bed, and the third has a king bed and a smart TV. Both bathrooms have a tub/shower combo and a vanity with a lighted mirror. Air conditioning keeps things comfortable on warm summer days, and a laundry room with a full-size washer and dryer makes longer stays easy. Outside, the full acre is yours to explore. The patio wraps around the home with a hot tub, two hanging egg swing chairs, and a BBQ grill. Out in the trees you'll find the zip line and a charming playhouse – a favorite with younger guests. Please note: the zip line is ride at your own risk. Children must be supervised by an adult on the zip line and in the playhouse at all times. Notable sights within the town include the historic post office, established in 1884, and the Pine-Strawberry Museum, which opened in 1979 and takes its name from Pine and its sister community of Strawberry. Featuring artifacts that focus on the prehistory and history of the towns, this gem is a must-see during your visit. Looking to get out of town for a bit? Nearby Bear Canyon Lake and Knoll Lake offer plenty of outdoor fun. Pitch a tent, cast a line for rainbow, brown, and brook trout, or just enjoy taking a boat out on the sparkling water. Wrap your arms around one of the huge Ponderosa Pines that have been growing for hundreds of years in the Tonto National Forest that surrounds the quaint mountain town of Pine. About 10 miles south of town, examine another natural wonder, Tonto Natural Bridge – one of the world’s only natural travertine bridges. The beauty doesn’t stop there. This lovely town at the base of Arizona’s famous Mogollon Rim also has seven lakes nearby. The fishing can’t be beat! Gold in the hills – discovered around 1875 – began the influx of settlers to the area. They also established the Strawberry Schoolhouse in 1885. It still stands today as the oldest schoolhouse in Arizona and is open for tours May through mid-October. Time your visit right to take part in the annual Pine-Strawberry Summer Fest, usually in early June. Small-town charm, beautiful scenery, cool mountain air, live music, crafts, and food fill the festival weekend. This home can experience inclement weather in the winter months. A guest may need to utilize an all-wheel or front-wheel drive/high clearance vehicle to access the home, depending upon recent snowfall or rainfall. All efforts possible are provided to ensure homes are easily accessible, but we still recommend that guests purchase travel insurance if there are any worries about experiencing northern Arizona winter weather. What can you expect? * All bathrooms include complimentary shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. You will also find hair dryers, fresh towels, and laundry access. * A starter set of toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, dishwasher soap, coffee, and trash bags (3) are provided. * Every bed will have a fresh set of linens and a comforter or quilt. One set of towels per person is provided. * Parking is available on the property. * Local customer service is available 8 am-10 pm. * Check-in must be completed by 10:00 PM on your arrival day. * The zip line is ride at your own risk; adult supervision is required for children.
