Nestled in the Rocky Mountains, Canmore offers easy access to outstanding hiking, backpacking, camping and mountain biking terrain, breathtaking viewpoints, downhill and cross-country skiing, world class golf courses and a multitude of water sports. Take in one of the National Parks, discover the historic town of Banff (15-minute drive) or Lake Louise (45-minute drive) and create memories that will last a lifetime. Getting Around: There are many walking/biking paths in the neighbourhood and various shops and restaurants. Downtown’s Main Street is a short walk away with even more retail and dining options. Canmore offers free local bus transportation on our ROAM Transit service, and easy access to Banff for a nominal fee.
