The home is designed for quiet stays, scenic views, and a high-comfort indoor/outdoor experience.<br>The property has a meaningful family history and was intentionally preserved, restored, and reimagined as a private modern retreat rather than being sold off or overdeveloped. The goal behind Hollow Sky is to protect the privacy, views, fields, ponds, and natural beauty of the land while giving guests a refined place to slow down, reconnect, and experience the Catskills in a more personal way.<br>The main bedroom includes a king bed, dedicated desk/sitting area, smart TV, and ensuite bath with soaking tub, glass shower, radiant heated floors, and mountain views. The guest bedroom includes a daybed with a pull-out trundle that opens into a king-size sleeping arrangement. The guest bath features radiant heated floors and a large double shower.<br>The living area includes a gas fireplace, large smart TV, Sonos surround sound, sectional seating, automated shades, and open access to the kitchen and dining area. The kitchen is fully equipped for longer stays, with stainless appliances, cookware, coffee options, and basic hosting essentials.<br>Outside, guests can enjoy the hot tub, outdoor shower, grill, decks, outdoor dining, lounge seating, firepit area, koi ponds, fields, wooded areas, and private walking/hiking areas throughout the property.<br>The property is very private and nature-focused. There are no visible neighboring homes from the main guest areas, and the setting is intentionally quiet. Wildlife, changing weather, gravel roads, uneven outdoor terrain, bugs, snow, mud, and limited cell service in the surrounding area are all part of the rural Catskills experience.<br>The home has Wi-Fi, smart TVs, heating and air conditioning through mini-splits, radiant heated bathroom floors, and an EV charger. Cell service may be limited on the drive in, so guests should save directions and check-in details before arrival.<br>Guests will have private access to the home and designated outdoor guest areas. Some service visits may occur during a stay, including hot tub care, landscaping, snow removal, or pond/property maintenance. Hollow Sky is located in Preston Hollow, a quiet rural corner of the northern Catskills known for open land, wooded hills, dark skies, gravel country roads and a slower pace. The appeal is privacy, nature, space and quiet—not crowds or a busy resort-town atmosphere. The entrance to Rensselaerville hiking trails is within walking distance. Windham Mountain is approximately 25 minutes away, Hunter Mountain is approximately 35 minutes away, the town of Catskill is approximately 25 minutes away, Albany is approximately 40 minutes away and Hudson is under an hour. New York City is generally 2.5 to 3 hours away, depending on traffic. A car is required to get to and around Hollow Sky. Public transportation, rideshare service and taxis may be limited or unavailable nearby. Guests should save directions and check-in instructions before arrival because cellular service can be spotty on the drive in. Wi-Fi calling is recommended after connecting to the home's Starlink internet. The driveway is gravel and includes an incline. Drive slowly and use additional caution at night, during rain and in winter weather. All-wheel drive or four-wheel drive is recommended during snow season. Free parking is available at the property. Maximum occupancy is five registered guests. The primary bedroom has one king bed. The guest bedroom has one twin daybed and one pull-out twin trundle that can be positioned together to create a king-size sleeping arrangement. A fifth guest can sleep on the large sectional in the living area. No smoking or vaping is permitted inside the home. Parties, events and unregistered visitors are not permitted. Pets must be disclosed and included in the reservation. Children must be supervised around the ponds, docks, trails, decks, hot tub and firepit. Pond docks may be slippery. Do not access the first dock, as it is currently under construction. Please feed the koi from the grass area only. Outdoor amenities are available weather permitting. Brief service visits may occasionally occur for hot-tub maintenance, landscaping, snow removal, trash pickup, pond care or necessary property maintenance.
