Looking to getaway and work remotely, the cottage is equipped with starlink wifi that generates a signal to work away from home. on clear and good weather you may be able to work on the deck or under the gazebo with a beautiful view overlooking the lake. bring your own boat and dock available to secure your boat on mooring polls. Launch is within 15 mins drive. Deep waters great for jumping and weed free swimming.
The 3 season cottage consists of 3 bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms. Easy access to the pool just off the cottage deck , BBQ on deck with 1 full propane tank provided. baseboard heating and for the warmer nights a portable window AC is available to cool off.

The outstanding view of the lake and the outdoor pool overlooking the beautiful upper Rideau is breathtaking. Gorgeous sunsets and sunrises are beautiful just from this cottage deck is something extraordinary. The quiet and relaxing atmosphere is something everyone should experience. There is a little bit of everything for everyone.

Guest access:
Strictly private pool for guests occupying this cottage only.
Pool opens on June 1, 2025 ( Weather Permitting)
and closes after the Labour day weekend*** May remain open weather permitting
Cannot guarantee the Pool water temperature due to the recent fluctuating weather patterns.
Please note the pool does not have a heating system but it warms up quite well in the summer months as we have direct sun for most of the day. Temperature sits around 80-81(F) on sunny days.
Please note this cottage is for a maximum of 5 adults. 2 bedrooms have a queen bed each and the 3rd room is a single on single bunk bed. We have 1 full bathroom and 1 half bathroom.
However it can sleep 6 if there are kids in group. Extra adults or children over the age of two will be charged a fee. Please inform us if you have more than 6 guests.
Please also remember the other cottage on the property does not have access to the pool. The other cottage on property has access to lake only. The boardwalk and access to the dock for swimming on the lake or boat docking will be shared spaces for all guests on property.
All guests must park in the designated guest parking max 2 cars per cottage.
If your bringing a boat please check with host for dock space availability. No more than a 21’ boat for docking.
Westport Marina also offers docking permits for the duration required.
Other things to note:
Cleaning fee $200 per stay.
13% tax applies to nightly rates.

Important note to remember. After using the pool please dry off before entering the cottage to avoid water damage to the floor. All pool toys and floaters pool noodles to be removed from the pool when not in use. So please be considerate and adhere to the rules. Damages will hbe taken from the deposit as well as for extra cleaning if required. Please leave cottage in same state as you received it. If not deposit will be withheld for deep cleaning.
Smoking policy: strictly no smoking of any kind inside the cottage.
Smoking allowed outside 10 meters away from the building. Do not litter on property. Charge will apply if cigarette butts or cans, cups found in any part of the property.
Please use designated containers for recycling and garbage.
Boat tours & Fishing expeditions.
***** captain Roger welcomes passengers aboard a pontoon boat for private groups of 6-12 people cruising along the world heritage Rideau canal and giving you a lovely and refreshing experience of the Canadian Shield which is a spectacular back drop. Starting from a 2 hour tour to 5 hour tour of the lake. Stop overs for ice cream or a meal at the town of Newboro or Westport is possible depending on the duration of the tour. Prices are based accordingly.
If your fishing enthusiasts, a fishing Expedition can be booked for half a day or a full day on a large fishing boat that can accommodate up to 4 comfortably including live bait. And you are welcome to bring snacks, lunch and non alcoholic beverages on board.
Please inquire for rates and bookings need minimum of 3-4 days notice needed and subject to weather conditions. Pick up and drop off at the property dock. *****

please have all dishes placed in the dishwasher and started before departure.

If any furniture was moved please ensure to have it back in its original place

Full Refund
Cancel 30 days or more before check-in (by 4:00 p.m. local time) to receive a 100% refund of your payment.
Partial Refund
Cancel between 7 and 30 days before check-in (by 4:00 p.m. local time) to receive a 50% refund of nightly rates. Service fees are non-refundable.
No Refund
Cancel less than 7 days before check-in (after 4:00 p.m. local time) and the reservation is non-refundable.
Stay Rules
Please no outside shoes inside cottage.
GARBAGE REGULATIONS: All garbage and recycling items to be separated.
Plastics, cans and glass bottles in one blue recycling bag. (No plastic bags or clear pastry containers) in the recycling blue bin. All Fibre, news papers,cardboard, boxes in a separate blue recycling bin. Please note paper plates that has food on it does not belong to recycling All garbage items in clear bags only. No Black garbage bags allowed. Based on the Rideau township recycling and garbage standards. Extra fee will be charged if recycling is not sorted. Thank you.
No smoking of any substance inside the cottage. Please use designated outdoor smoking areas only.
No loud music or parties.
Keep lights turned off when not in use.
Please be considerate at checkout and remove all garbage, strip the beds and put bed linen in basket and leave the cottage the same when checked in.
Pool toys must be removed from pool when not in use.
There are 2 cottages and the main bungalow on property about 80 feet away from each other. keep in mind other guests will be on property and some noise can be expected however quiet times have been implemented from 11pm-7am.
