Our Smoky Mountain View is a modern log home perched in Legacy Mountain Resort, known for its beautifully built cabins and wide, well‑maintained roads. From the moment you arrive, you’ll be surrounded by sweeping views of the Great Smoky Mountains. The dining area seats six, and the living room offers hardwood floors, a stone fireplace, and stunning views of Mt. LeConte. A king master suite with a private bath is also located on this level, complete with sunrise views from the east‑facing windows. Upstairs, a large open upper level serves as a second bedroom and game room. This level includes a full bath with a jetted tub, floor‑to‑ceiling windows, a video game area, and access to the upper deck with a hot tub. Kids will love the small ladder‑access loft off of this level — perfect for their own cozy hideaway. The cabin accommodates up to 4 adults and 4 children (8 guests total). Parking is available for 2 large or 3 small vehicles. Additional notes: • Guests may use the fireplace at the resort amenities center (bring your own wood). • No fire pit at the cabin. • VRBO mileage is “as the crow flies,” so actual drive times will be longer. • Please keep the AC at 72° or above during summer months. • Additional fee applies for more than 4 adults. • Pet fee is per pet per stay—some booking sites only charge for one pet, so please let us know how many you’re bringing. • Security deposits place a temporary hold on credit cards; debit cards withdraw and later return the funds. • Directions and key code will be emailed about two days before arrival (check your spam folder). You will ascend the mountain in a zig zag pattern. You will go up in one direction and then go around a switchback and then go up in the other direction. There are no long steep roads. Host Story: My husband and I have two children. We have a boy and a girl. I have been trying to take my children to different National Parks every summer before they get so old they do not want to vacation with us. My husband was very resistant to travel on vacation somewhere that was 10 hours away. But, when we got to the cabin, he said I could drag him 10 hours anytime. He loved the mountain views. The kids love all the activity. They never get bored. I love the hikes in the Great Smoky Mountains. I also love all the history in the area. This seemed like the perfect place for us to buy a vacation home. Location: "Our Smoky Mountain View" is located in the prestigious Legacy Mountain Resort. Legacy Mountain Resort has an amenities center at the very top of the mountain. The view from up there is amazing. You will have access to the fitness center, seasonal outdoor pool, sauna and steam room. The seasonal outdoor pool is open Memorial Day Weekend until Labor Day weekend.
